WARNING! Danger due to electro-
magnetic field generated while the ma-
chine is in operation. Under certain cir-
cumstances, this field may negatively af-
fect active or passive medical implants.
In order to reduce the danger of serious
or fatal injuries, we recommend that indi-
viduals who wear medical implants should
consult their doctor and the manufacturer
of the implant before operating the ma-
chine.
Preparation
Remove the transport lock
Remove the transport lock (1) before using
the device for the first time:
1. Fold open the transport lock.
2. Remove the transport lock from the bit
holder (3).
Control elements
Familiarise yourself with the operating ele-
ments before using the device for the first
time.
• Direction of rotation switch (9)
NOTICE! Only operate the direction
of rotation switch when the tool has
stopped!
Direction of the switch viewed from be-
hind:
• Counter-clockwise direction:
Press direction of rotation switch to
the left.
• Clockwise direction: Press direc-
tion of rotation switch to the right.
• Middle position: Set the direc-
tion of rotation switch to the centre
position to secure the device against
switching on.
• On/Off switch (10)
• Switching on: Press
• Switching off: Release

Inserting and removing the
attachment tool
Possible attachment tools are
• Screw bit (2)
• Magnetic bit holder (13)
Selecting a bit from the inter-
changeable bit drum (Fig. B)
CAUTION! Risk of injury caused by
pinching. Grasp the carriage by the side
only.
1. Push the carriage (4) forward.
2. Turn the interchangeable bit drum
(15). The desired screw bit (2) is on
top and is in line with the bit holder
(3).
The interchangeable bit drum engages
noticeably.
3. Push the carriage back again.
The selected screw bit is automatically
fixed in the bit holder.
Inserting a screw bit
1. Insert a suitable attachment tool as far
as it will go into the bit holder (3).
The bit is held firmly by the guide and
the magnetic holder.
Removing a screw bit
1. To remove, pull the attachment tool out
of the bit holder (3).
Checking the battery charge
level
1. Press the On/Off switch (10).
The LEDs of the charge level indicator
(5) show how much charge remains in
the battery.
