4.6.2
High temperatures/alternating thermal stress
WARNING
Danger of poisoning!
► Leave the danger zone immediately when noticing any signs of damage,
e.g. bubbles in the visor.
The coating may dissolve in some places on visors marked Pcas, APECas and
PCaf. The facepiece remains usable until the end of the mission. Replace the
visor after use.
4.6.3
Chemicals
Some substances can be absorbed by the material of the mask body or may
even diffuse through it. Further information can be obtained from Dräger.
4.7
After use
4.7.1
Removing the respiratory filter or lung demand valve
● RA-type connector: Unscrew the respiratory filter or the lung demand
valve.
● PE-type connector: Unscrew the lung demand valve.
● ESA-type connector: Unscrew the respiratory filter or press the buttons on
the lung demand valve and at the same time pull the lung demand valve out
of the connector.
● P-type connector: Press the button (see figure A3-25 on fold-out page)
and at the same time, pull the lung demand valve out of the connector.
4.7.2
Removing the facepiece
NOTICE
► To prevent damage, do not pull the mask off your head by pulling on the
connector.
4.7.2.1
Full face mask
1. Push the adjuster buckles of the neck straps forward with your thumb and
loosen the straps (see figure E on fold-out page).

2. Pull the full face mask away from your face and over your head.
4.7.2.2
Mask/helmet combination with S-fix adapter (H61)
1. Pull both mask/helmet adapters evenly to the rear, then flip them away from
the helmet.
2. Remove the facepiece.
4.7.2.3
Mask/helmet combination with Q-fix adapter (H62)
1. Pull both mask/helmet adapters slightly forward.
2. Press and hold the press studs of both mask/helmet adapters.
3. Pull both mask/helmet adapters evenly to the rear, then flip them away from
the helmet.
4. Remove the facepiece.
4.7.2.4
Mask/helmet combination with X-fix adapter
1. Press the lock on the strap and expand the mask/helmet adapter.
2. Remove the mask/helmet adapter from the helmet.
3. Remove the facepiece.
