2 Safety
• If the laboratory device is supplied with power through a power
adapter, batteries or accumulators, the components and
connections on the device must be regularly checked for proper
working condition. Do not operate the laboratory device and its
accessories in an unprotected, humid or wet environment.
• Do not make any technical modifications. Use only original
replacement parts of the manufacturer; even power adapters or
accumulators of identical size and specification from other
manufacturers are not permitted. Do not disassemble the laboratory
device and its accessories (e.g., power adapters, cables, racks,
accumulators or batteries) any further than described in the user
manual!
• Only autoclave the laboratory device when this is permissible
according to the user manual.
• Use only the original power adapter to charge the nickel-metal
hydride battery.
• Protect the power adapter from moisture and only use it in
conjunction with this device.
• Stop using the power adapter if the connection cable is damaged.
• Only authorized service technicians are permitted to carry out
repairs and internal maintenance on the instrument.
Potential risk of explosion due to damaged battery
In extreme cases, improper handling of the instrument or the
battery (short circuit, mechanical damage, overheating, etc.)
may cause the battery to explode.
