Operating Exclusions
Never use this instrument for
– liquids attacking borosilicate glass, Al
PFA, FEP, PTFE or platinum-iridium (e.g.,
hydrofluoric acid)
– suspensions (e.g., of charcoal) as solid particles
may clog or damage the instrument
– strongly crystallizing solutions, concentrated
acids and bases as well as non-polar solvents
which effect swelling of plastics (e.g., Toluene,
Benzene)
– Carbon disulfide, as this media is highly
flammable
– The instrument must not be autoclaved!
