If the floor that the stove is standing on is
flammable, we recommend duly insulating it.
The product may be placed on a wooden floor,
but only if protected by a protective plate made
of non-combustible material not less than 0.9
mm thick.
It is important to ensure that the dimensions of
the protective plate are suitable for the stove.
Ravelli recommends removing any flammable
materials such as linoleum, carpet, etc. from
under the floor protection plate.
Position the product so that it is possible to clean
the stove, the flue pipe and the chimney passage.
The distance of the flue pipes from combustible
materials must also be taken into consideration.
The fire wall must be at least 100 mm thick and
made of concrete block or lightweight concrete.
Other materials and structures with the necessary
documentation can also be used.
The stove can be installed with a minimum
distance of 100 mm from non-combustible walls
and a minimum distance of 500 mm from all
combustible materials.
Too little distance of the stove from non-
flammable walls can lead to drying and
discolouration of the paint and cause cracks.
The minimum distance between the stove and
the ceiling made of flammable material must be
at least 750 mm.
5.5 INSTALLATION
For appliance installation and use it is necessary
to observe all of the local, national and European
laws and regulations.
Appliance installation and the preparation of the
building work must observe the regulation in
force in the country of installation (ITALY = UNI
10683).
The installation activities must be carried
out by a technician that is qualified and/or
authorised by the Manufacturer. The staff in
charge of installation must issue a declaration
of conformity of the system to the buyer,
whereby they take full responsibility for the final
installation and good operation of the installed
product. Ravelli shall not be held liable if these
precautions are not followed.

5.5.2 Installation examples
The smoke evacuation system is essential for
correct stove operation. Make sure that the
installed flue pipe has at least one inspection
hatch located in an easily accessible point to aid
cleaning.
Chimneys in poor conditions can only be used by
inserting a regulation flue pipe inside them (see
standards on ducting).
