Replacing the diaphragm
On the fluidic side, there is the possibility of replacing the sealing diaphragm in case of wear of damage.
For this purpose, the drive unit must be disassembled from the housing and reassembled.
With welded-on housings, make absolutely sure that the drive unit is removed before welding.
Procedure:
1.
Control functions A
Pressurize the lower control connection of the drive unit with compressed air (6 bar).
Control function B and I
With control function B or I, compressed air must not be applied.
2.
Removing the drive unit: Remove the drive unit in the open position by unscrewing the
housing screws from the housing.
3.
Replacement membranes
4.
Re-installing the drive unit (in open position)
Place the drive unit onto the housing and lightly tighten the housing screws over the diagonal
until the diaphragm lies in contact between the housing and the drive unit.
5.
Tightening the housing screws to the specified torque

Control function B:
Control function I:
8 - 2030/2031K big
Pressurize the lower control connection of the drive unit with compressed air (6 bar)
twice and relieve again so that the valve switches.
Then tighten the housing screws without control pressure to the nominal torque
(approximate value) given below.
Pressurize the upper control connection of the drive unit with compressed air and
relieve again so that the valve switches.
Then tighten the housing screws with applied control pressure to the nominal torque
(approximate value).
Switch the valve twice.
Then tighten the housing screws with applied control pressure at the upper control
connection to the nominal torque (approximate value).
