Use & Maintenance
END OF PRODUCT USE
When it becomes necessary to replace the kitchen, it will be essential to dispose of the old one
properly. First evaluate the possibility of its total or partial reuse (e.g. in second homes, garages,
charities or flea markets). Pay particular attention to electrical and electronic equipment (so-called
WEEE) – such as household appliances – that may contain environmentally harmful materials if
disposed of improperly. For this, contact the collection centres in your city.
Try, if possible, to separate the components that can be recycled (wood, glass, aluminium, etc.)
thereby facilitating separate collection.
Therefore, contact authorised waste disposal centres in your town or municipality or the relevant
municipal offices. Always take into account any specific legislation in your country. If in doubt,
contact the waste disposal and/or recovery authorities in your city.
ENVIRONMENTAL COMPATIBILITY AND SAFETY
Sustainable Development is development that enables the present generation to meet its own
needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
When producing a kitchen, Stosa applies the best available technology in order to reduce the
environmental impact of the processes and materials used and to make it as safe as possible.
You too can make a significant difference in reducing your environmental impact and mitigating
risks to yourself and your children, all from the comfort of your own home.
ENERGY CONSUMPTION
When buying household appliances try to choose those with high energy efficiency (e.g. class A);
this initial economic investment, compared to lower energy classes, justifies future economic and
energy savings. Try not to open the refrigerator or freezer door frequently because with the door
open, the motor runs continuously, thus causing excessive frost formation and overheating of food.
If excessive frost forms, try to remove it because a freezer with a lot of frost uses more electricity.
- Always check that the door is securely closed.
- Do not overfill the freezer or refrigerator because if too full, they may not cool properly and
consequently use more energy.
- Do not place hot products in the freezer or refrigerator as this increases energy consumption and
may even spoil the products inside.
