Use & Maintenance
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
In general, the furniture has a maximum capacity of 20 kg per shelf, including pull-out
drawers.
The following are an exception:
- glass shelves and backlighting units (maximum load is 5 kg);
- drawers and baskets (maximum load is 20 kg);
- pull-out drawers for corner base units (8 kg for external drawers; 9 kg for internal
drawers).
The load must be uniformly distributed over the surface. With regard to wall cabinets and/
or wall-mounted base units, the maximum total load may not exceed 60 kg. Clearly, the
load must be compatible with the wall in use and the installer's work. In any event, we
recommend you not overload the wall units and shelves; distribute the heavier objects in
the base units and the cupboards.
Humidity and above or below average temperatures can deform some parts made from
wood or wood derivatives in the kitchen. In fact, the humidity can infiltrate into the
micropores and cause swelling. To prevent this, the humidity of the environment must not
be kept below 40% or over 70% for long periods and the temperatures must be between
10 °C and 35 °C. In general, if there are no specific instructions, use a microfibre cloth and
mild soap for cleaning.
Avoid puddles of liquid on the surface. Generally, the colour of kitchen elements can
change over time, due to factors such as usage and direct exposure to sunlight. When
replacing elements, it is normal for there to be small colour variations, which tend to
diminish over time.
In the fixings that employ double sided adhesive tape, always remember to carefully clean
the surfaces before gluing with isopropyl alcohol (not denatured alcohol) and a clean
cotton rag and without leaving fibres.
During your kitchen's life always make sure that the refrigerator doors close perfectly and
that the refrigerator's seals haven't worn down.
If for some reason the seal on the fridge door doesn't close properly, mist will come out of
the fridge that can damage the furniture (warping of the sides and swelling of the doors).
Slight warping of the sides of furniture may occur during the life of the kitchen.
