V1.0
3.
Screw the collet body into the torch body until hand tight. The electrode
will still move freely.
4.
Screw the back cap onto the torch body, but do not tighten yet.
5.
Screw the ceramic cup onto the torch body. The number on the cup is
the inner diameter of the cup in 16th of an inch. Example 7 = 7/16 in.
6.
Adjust the electrode length so it extends beyond the cup. The maximum
length is equal to the cup's inner diameter.
7.
Brace the electrode and tighten the back cap. This will pinch the collet
and hold the electrode in place.

Porosity − small cavities or holes resulting from gas pockets in weld metal.
1. Arc length too long
2. Workpiece dirty,
contaminated or moisture
3. Damp electrodes
Excessive Spatter.
1. Amperage too high
2. Arc length too long

AC/DC Inverter TIG/Arc Welder
SUGGESTED SOLUTION(S)
1. Check earth lead is connected. Check all cable
connections.
2. Check the MMA selector switch is selected
3. Check that the machine is switched on and has a
power supply.
1. Shorten the arc length.
2. Remove moisture and materials like paint, grease, oil
and dirt, including mill scale from base metal.
3. Use only dry electrodes.
1. Decrease the amperage or choose a larger electrode
2. Shorten the arc length
