6.8 STABILITY AND BALANCE
Some activities and movements during daily use can require you to stick out of the wheelchair, leaning forwards,
sideways or backwards. This considerably affects the stability of the wheelchair. To be sure to always maintain
balance, bear in mind the following:
Leaning forwards
WARNING!
Danger of falling off the wheelchair!
If you lean forwards you could fall off the wheelchair.
Do not bend forwards too much and do not move your body beyond the seat to reach
for an object.
Do not bend forwards widening your knees to reach for an object on the ground.
1. Align the front wheels (to do so move the wheelchair slightly forwards and then backwards).
2. Apply the two parking brakes.
3. Lean forwards only up to the point where the upper body is still above the front wheels.
Leaning backwards
WARNING!
Danger of falling from the wheelchair!
If you lean backwards too far, you could tip the wheelchair.
Don't lean backwards beyond the wheelchair.
Use an anti-tip device.

7.1 SAFETY INDICATIONS
WARNING!
Risk of injuries if the wheelchair is not correctly and securely fixed

wheelchair not fixed.Always extract the wheels when transporting the wheelchair.
Firmly secure all the components of the wheelchair in the vehicle in order to stop them
from loosening during transportation.

parts. Don't move the wheelchair with the wheels dismantled on an abrasive surface
(e.g. pulling the framework on tarmac).
