2. SAFETY
2.1 SAFETY INFORMATION
This chapter contains important safety aspects, aimed at protecting the user of the wheelchair and his helper (when
present), as well as guaranteeing a safe and inconvenience-free use of the wheelchair.
WARNING!
Danger of accidents and severe injuries to the patient
If the wheelchair is not well adjusted it can lead to accidents with severe injuries.
The adjustments to the wheelchair should always be made by a specialised dealer
WARNING!
Danger arising from inadequate driving behaviour
Moving on wet surfaces, gravel and uneven ground can lead to slipping.
Always adapt the speed and driving behaviour to the different situations (atmospheric
conditions, surface, individual abilities, etc.).
WARNING!
Danger of injuries to patient. In the event of a collision, it is possible to be wounded in
areas that stick out of the wheelchair (such as feet or hands).
Avoid all collisions without having tried to use the brakes.
Never drive the wheelchair into an object.
Drive through narrow passages with caution.
WARNING!
Danger due to profligate driving.
Moving at high speeds you can lose control of your wheelchair and fall.
Never exceed the speed of 5km/h.
Avoid all types of collision.
CAUTION!
Danger of burning.
The components of the wheelchair can heat up if exposed to strong solar radiations.
2.2 CONTRAINDICATIONS
No contraindications were found except in cases of proven sensitivity to the component materials.

CAUTION!
Risk of squashing your fingers!
There is always the risk of squashing your fingers or arms in moving parts of the
wheelchair. Activating the folding mechanisms or inserting moving parts, such as the
extractable shaft of the rear wheel, or the anti-tip device, make sure that nothing can
get stuck.
2.3 SAFETY EQUIPMENT
WARNING!
Danger of accident!
Safety equipment (brakes, anti-tip device), if wrongly adjusted or not working, can
cause accidents. Before each use of the wheelchair check the functioning of the safety
equipment and have them regularly checked by a specialised dealer.
The operation of safety equipment is described on chapter 3 Structure and operations.
