1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 INFORMATION RELATED TO THE PRESENT USER'S MANUAL
We thank you for choosing the ARIA wheelchair.
This user's manual contains important indications for the use of the wheelchair. To be able to utilise the wheelchair and
move safely, we ask you to read the manual carefully and to observe the safety indications.
In the event of vision problems, it is possible to view this user's manual as a PDF file on the Internet at www.ariawheels.
com and zoom in on the screen according to your needs. If you are unable to enlarge the texts and graphics enough,
please contact an ARIA official distributor in your national territory; the addresses are listed on the website. If necessary,
we will provide a high resolution PDF file of the manual. Additionally, it is possible to obtain the reading of the PDF file
using appropriate software that use special linguistic functions installed on your computer.
1.2 EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS
Symbols in this manual
All the instructions in this manual are labelled with symbols. In front of the individual messages are symbols and words
that indicate the gravity of the danger.

Indicates a potential danger that could cause severe injuries or death, if not avoided.

Indicates a potential danger that could cause small to medium injuries, if not avoided.
CAUTION!
IMPORTANT !
Indicates a potential danger that could cause material damages, if not avoided. Indicates tips and useful
recommendations for an efficient and inconvenience-free use of the wheelchair.
IMPORTANT!

This product is in compliance with the directive (UE) 2017/745 regarding medical products. The launch date of this
product is indicated in the declaration of compliance CE.
Symbols on the product
An identification label is applied on the product.
The symbols on the label are defined in detail in section 11.4 of this user's manual.
1.3 AFTER SALE WARRANTY
Aria Wheels Srl guarantees the absence of defects and the functionality of its wheelchairs. The warranty covers defects
that arise from manufacturing, the use of bad quality materials or the inappropriate working of these. The warranty
rights towards Aria Wheels Srl can only be executed by the seller, and not the user of the wheelchair.
The commercial warranty does not cover the normal wear, damages or faults that come directly or indirectly from
accidents, falls, collisions, improper use, insufficient maintenance and alterations made by non authorised personnel.
The parts subject to wear and particular consumption (tyres, seat canvases and backrest...) are not covered by
warranty. The warranty falls if any unexpected alterations are made to the wheelchair, or if alterations are made with
inadequate or unoriginal parts. In case of not authorized alterations, the warranty does not cover the costs arising from
the elimination of the defect such as shipping costs, labour costs, expenses etc.
The warranty has a duration of 24 (twenty-four) months starting from the date of invoice.
All the components not manufactured by Aria Wheels Srl have a warranty from their own manufacturer.
Moreover, the terms and conditions are an integral part of the general and specific conditions for the individual countries
in which the product is commercialised.
1.4 USE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE EXPECTED PURPOSES
The ARIA wheelchair is to be pushed manually and serves the sole purpose of movement of a person affected by motor
disabilities, either autonomously or with a helper. Without a helper it should only be utilised by people who are physically
and mentally capable to control and drive the wheelchair safely (for example moving forwards, changing direction and
braking). The wheelchair should be used exclusively on flat surfaces, accessible turf and indoors. This active wheelchair
has to be approved and appropriate for the specific physical conditions of the user.

Every use not compliant to the expected purposes or of any other kind can lead to
dangerous situations.
1.5 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Aria Wheels Srl accepts no liability for damage arising from:
Non-compliance with the User Manual; Incorrect use; Natural wear and tear; Incorrect assembly or set-up by the
purchaser or a third party; Technical modifications; Unauthorised modifications and/or use of unsuitable spare parts.
A written authorisation of Aria Wheels Srl must be obtained before installing additional adaptations on a ARIA
wheelchair. Otherwise no liability claims can be made.
1.6 DURATION OF THE WHEELCHAIR
The expected duration of the product is four years, assuming a daily use at the condition that is used in compliance with
the safety, maintenance and expected use instructions indicated in this manual.
