3.3 PARKING BRAKES
The parking brakes are made to stop the wheelchair and impede any involuntary movements.
Push to Lock and Scissor Lock types are available.
WARNING!
Risk of falling following a sudden stop!
If during movement you use the parking brakes, it is no longer possible to control the
direction and the wheelchair could become blocked and cause collisions or a fall from
the wheelchair. Never pull the parking brakes whilst moving.
WARNING!
Danger of falling!
The functioning of the parking brakes is only guaranteed if the tyres have sufficient
pressure.
Check the correct pressure of the tyres, 11.3 Tyres.

3.3 BACKREST
Backrest cover
The ARIA PLIXA wheelchair is supplied with a padded backrest cover as standard. The breathable fabric cover is
removable and washable.
Tensionable backrest
The tension of the backrest straps can be adjusted. Remove the cover, tension the straps according to the desired
posture. The adjustment must be carried out by your specialist dealer.
Inclination of the backrest
You can also adjust the inclination of the backrest by unscrewing the appropriate screws, adjust the desired
inclination and retighten them. The adjustment must be carried out by your specialist dealer.
3.4 PUSH HANDLES
Aria PLIXA wheelchair can be equipped with push handles
(which also function as a backpack carrier). The height of the
bar and push handles can be adjusted. Unscrew the screws,
set them at the desired height and screw them back in. The
adjustment must be carried out by your specialist dealer.
3.5 MUDGUARD
Depending on the request, the mudguard can be straight or
with the tire cover curve. Both models are exchangeable.
