3.6 FOOTREST
It is possible to adjust the height of the footrest by unscrewing the two screws on the frame, adjust the desired height
and retighten them. It is also possible, in some cases, to adjust the angle of the footrest by loosening the screws
underneath the aluminium or carbon fibre top. Once the angle has been adjusted as desired, retighten the screws.
Adjustments must be performed by the specialist dealer.
WARNING!
Do not rest your feet on the footplate when transferring, this could cause the
wheelchair to tip forward, or the excessive load could break the footplate with possible
injury to the user.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE FOOTPLATE
All footplates facilitate better foot support on the ground when raised. Single footplates are considerably sturdier and
stiffer than split footplates, making them particularly suitable for users with strong contractions in their lower limbs
who tend to push their feet hard on the footplate.
Lifting the footplate is a simple operation that is performed by lifting the footplate upwards with one hand. To restore
the user's position, simply lower the footplate and, in the case of a single footplate, ensure that it is properly engaged
in the footplate holder.

3.7 ANTI-TIPPER DEVICE
An anti-tipper device prevents the wheelchair from tipping backwards. The device is adjustable to different needs. It is
attached to the rear wheel axle with a special clamp. It can be positioned on the right or left side. See the spare parts
manual on the Aria website.
WARNING!
Danger of fall!
A wrongly adjusted or non-working anti-tip device can cause falls.
Before every use of the wheelchair control it is functioning and, if necessary, have the
anti-tip device fitted or adjusted by a specialised dealer.
WARNING!
Danger of tipping
On uneven of soft ground, the anti-tip device can sink in holes or in the ground, thus
limiting or compromising its correct safety function.
Only use the anti-tip device when you are on a flat and compact surface.
3.9 SEAT CUSHION
An appropriately padded seat cushion is necessary to ensure optimal pressure distribution on the seat surface,
whether it is made of fabric or solid carbon fibre.
The cushion is attached to the seat and prevented from sliding around by Velcro strips on the seat.
