M18™ 500GB Control Hub
Formatting USB thumb drives in a Windows desktop PC or laptop
1. Insert the USB thumb drive into the
PC or laptop.
2. Right mouse click on the USB thumb
drive and select Format.
3. Select FAT32 or NTFS under File
System.
4. Click Start. Acknowledge the warning
message by clicking OK.
5. The file format procedure will run and
when finished the Format Complete
message will appear.
3.5 Factory Reset & System Update – M18™ 500GB
Control Hub
These two tasks can be accomplished by using the M18™ 500GB Control Hub and
M18™ Wireless Monitor or a tablet running the Milwaukee
3.5.1 Factory Reset - M18™ 500GB Control Hub
Performing a factory reset will reset the M18™ 500GB Control Hub to the factory defaults.
In the Control Hub, the functionality that will reset to the factory default will be:
• Labels will be erased
• Video and Image settings back to default :1080p
• The Company Name is removed
• Sonde frequency back to default
• Line Trace back to default
• Screen Settings back to default: Hue, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation.

1. On the M18™ Wireless Monitor, turn the navigation dial to Settings
navigation dial. Turn the navigation dial to Factory Reset, press the navigation dial to
enter the sub-menu.
