Please make sure that the Filling
Chamber, Mouthpiece, Tube Flexer of
the Tube Kit and the Hot Air Generator
do not come into contact with the fol-
lowing chemicals:
organic, mineral and oxidating
acids (min. permissible pH 5.5)
strong bases (max. permissible pH
10). We recommend using neutral/
enzymatic or slightly alkaline clea-
ners.
organic solvents (e.g. aldehyde,
ether, ketone, benzene)
oxidation agents (e.g. hydrogen
peroxide)
halogens (chlorine, iodine, bromine)
aromatic/halogenated hydrocar-
bons
phenol derivatives, amin com-
pounds (in high concentrations)
oils and greases
Clean the parts of the VOLCANO ME-
DIC 2 Vaporization System only with
soft brushes, never with metal brushes
or steel wool.

9.3. Filling Chamber, Tube Flexer
and Mouthpiece
Components to be treated must be
treated with one of the following pro-
cesses according to the specifications
in 9.1.1. and 9.1.2. Cleaning with isop-
ropyl alcohol 70% (V/V) (chapter 9.3.1)
and cleaning in a dishwasher (chap-
ter 9.3.2) is suitable for treatment at
home. Cleaning in a washer-disinfec-
tor (chapter 9.3.3) is suitable for treat-
ment in medical practices and clinics.
9.3.1. Cleaning with isopropyl
alcohol 70% (V/V)
1. Pre-clean the components individu-
ally with a soft hand brush under
cold running water (<40°C) with
drinking water quality to remove
coarse impurities.
2. Put the components in isopropyl
alcohol 70% (V/V) for 5 minutes.
During these 5 minutes, move the
components back and forth in the
isopropyl alcohol bath.
3. Remove the components from the
isopropyl alcohol bath and pour off
any excess isopropyl alcohol.
4. Rinse each components under cold
running water (<40°C) of drinking
water quality for at least 30 se-
conds.Ensure that the water flows
through the components.
5. Dry the components with a clean
kitchen towel.
