THE PROTOTYPE
In the late 1940's, General
Motors' Electro Motive Division
(EMD) introduced this classic
American diesel-electric locomo-
tive. With its handsome „Bulldog"
nose and 1,500 horsepower, the
F7 was an instant hit with rail fans
and railroads alike.
Almost 2,400 F7s were built, and
for decades, these powerful die-
sel-electric locos could be found
in freight and passenger service
all across America.
THE MODEL
This model is a detailed replica of
the original F7 locomotive, inclu-
ding:
