CAUTION AND WARNING

To prevent injury and damage to your scale, please follow these instructions very carefully.
• To ensure proper operation of the ProPlus® Stretcher Scale, this operation manual should be
reviewed carefully before using your scale. Keep this manual available for future reference,
and also for use in the orientation or training of new personnel who will use this scale.
• If the scale becomes damaged, it should not be operated until properly serviced. All repairs
should only be performed by authorized Health o meter® Professional service personnel.
• This scale is designed for static weighing of patients only. No scale should be used for
patient transfer. Pelstar, LLC assumes no responsibility for patient injury or scale
damage should this caution be ignored by the scale operators.
• Do not leave patients unattended while on the scale.
• For accurate weighing, the casters on the lifter base must be placed on a flat and stable
surface with the weighing mechanism not touching the floor.
• For accurate weighing, verify proper operation according to the procedure described in this
manual before each use.
• Do not use in the presence of flammable materials.
• Operating at other voltages and frequencies than specified could damage the equipment.
• If the "LOW BAT" indicator activates, replace the batteries or connect the scale to an AC
power source, as soon as possible, for accurate weighing. See page 12 for battery
replacement information.
• It is intended that this equipment be used with the assistance of a healthcare worker.
• Failure to comply with the following will void the scale warranty:
o Do not gas or steam sterilize nor autoclave the scale.
o Do not place liquids on top of the scale display console.
o Do not exceed recommended weight limit of 400 lb/181kg for this scale.
o This scale contains delicate sensors. Do not bang into doors, elevators, etc., as
damage may result.
