4 Using the Photovoltaic Array Simulator
Programming Additional Parameters
Scale Factors
You can program scale factors for the current and voltage SAS curves.
Front Panel Menu Reference
Select Output\SAS\Scale.
Enter a scale factor in percent for the
current and/or voltage tables. Then press
Select.
This function is active in both Curve and Table modes. All of the voltages and currents on the SAS
l
curve are multiplied by these scale factors.
The scale factor settings take effect immediately without turning off the output.
l
Bandwidth
There are two SAS bandwidth ranges available to optimize for stability or performance for a wide
variety of inverter devices. These ranges apply in both Curve and Table modes.
0 - the slow bandwidth range is stable when testing a wide variety of inverter devices.
1 - the fast bandwidth range is optimized for inverter devices with faster MPPT algorithms.
Front Panel Menu Reference
Select Output\SAS\Bandwidth.
Select the bandwidth range: 0 slow or 1
fast. Then press Select.
SAS Command Details
In primary/secondary operation, all SAS commands must be sent to the primary unit. Secondary units
are locked; you cannot program the settings of the secondary units.
The following SCPI commands are not supported in SAS mode:
