Once the reception process is complete, the UPS should be
repacked until it is started up in order to protect it against
mechanical shock, dust, dirt, etc.
The unit's packaging consists of a wooden pallet, cardboard or
wooden packaging as applicable, expanded polystyrene (EPS)
corner protectors, polyethylene cover and strips, all recyclable
materials. When you need to get rid of them, you must do so in
accordance with applicable laws.
We recommend keeping the packaging for at least 1 year.
5.1.4. Storage.
The unit must be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected
from rain, dust, splashes of water or chemical agents. It is advisable
to keep each device and battery unit in its original packaging, as it
has been specifically designed to ensure maximum protection
during transportation and storage.
For devices that contain Pb-Ca batteries, the charging
times indicated in Tab. 2 of document EK266*08,
determined by the temperature to which they are exposed, must be
respected, otherwise the warranty may be invalidated.
After this period, connect the unit to the mains together with the
battery unit, if applicable, start it according to the instructions
described in this manual and charge for 12 hours.
Then shut down the unit, disconnect it and store it with the
batteries in their original packaging, noting the new date for
recharging the batteries on a document as a record or even on the
packaging itself.
Do not store the devices where the ambient temperature exceeds
50ºC or drops below -15ºC, as this may cause degradation of the
electrical characteristics of the batteries.
