2. Installation

The LiPo SAVER 2..6S ( - 60 A) should be
connected as follows:
· Balancer socket (a)
The balancer socket fitted to the LiPo SAVER is
protected against reverse polarity: regardless of
the orientation of the battery's balancer plug, or the
position at which you connect the balancer plug, the
sensor automatically detects its position and polarity.
Batteries fitted with XH and EH balancer plugs can
be connected directly to the socket.
Note:
Always connect the balancer lead first.
· Balancer adapter leads (b)
Batteries fitted with the previous Multiplex balancer
connector system (TP / FP) can be connected using
the balancer adapter leads (b) supplied in the set.
· The sensor lead (c)
This lead should be plugged into the receiver socket
marked "MSB" or "Sensor". The fixed three-pin con-
nector can be used to connect additional sensors.
· The sensor
The sensor can be installed in any location inside
the model's fuselage. Since the resistor bridge (e)
of the LiPo SAVER 2...6S - 60A generates heat, it is
important to position the sensor in a well ventilated
location.
· The measurement resistor (e)
The resistor has to be looped into the positive wire
as follows: the positive wire from the battery must be
connected to the solder pad (h), and the positive wire
running to the speed controller to the solder pad (i).
If the continuous current is 60 A, you must use a
connecting lead of the AWG10 type (5.26 mm²)
or larger cross-sectional area. If possible solder
the cable to both sides (top and bottom) of the
pads.

· Heat-shrink sleeve (d)
The heat-shrink sleeve must be fitted and shrunk
over the sensor before it is used.
Caution: short-circuit hazard!
It is essential to cover and insulate all conductive
sensor components with the heat-shrink sleeve.
Tip:
If space is limited, it is permissible to separate the
resistor (e) from the sensor by cutting through the
links. In this case the connection to the sensor must
be restored by soldering a two-core lead to the
appropriate solder pads (f - f and g - g) on the sensor.
Like the sensor itself, the measurement resistor must
also be electrically insulated by fitting a heat-shrink
sleeve over it.
