7. Fault-finding

The following table provides answers to the most
frequently asked questions.
Problem
The low-voltage warning is
GB
triggered prematurely.
The low-voltage warning is
triggered too late.
The sensor fails to measure
current or battery capacity.
The battery capacity is
displayed incorrectly.
The remaining capacity
was not saved.
No sensor is displayed at
the RC system transmitter.
The sensor is not detected
by MULTIPLEX Launcher.
A telemetry warning is
generated when the throttle
is advanced.

Cause
Battery in very poor condition.
Incorrect battery type selected.
The measurement resistor is fitted
the wrong way round.
You are using a speed controller
with opto-coupler.
Incorrect setting in
MULTIPLEX Launcher.
Battery data were not
stored.
Sensor lead not connected, or
connected incorrectly.
No power supply.
Battery in very poor condition.
Battery voltage collapses
excessively under load.
Remedy
Replace the battery; set a lower user-
variable early warning threshold.
Select the correct type of battery.
Check that the sensor is connected
exactly as shown in the diagram in the
Installation section.
An Earth connection must be present bet-
ween the receiver and the flight battery.
Check this with the manufacturer of your
speed controller.
Correct the capacity entered in
MULTIPLEX Launcher.
Please take care to wait about 5 seconds
(after motor stop), until you disconnect the
battery. The Sensor needs this time for
saving the datas.
Check all the sensor connections. The
sensor lead must be plugged into the
socket marked "MSB" or "Sensor".
Refer to the Configuration section: a
receiver battery must be connected using
the Y-lead supplied.
Replace the battery; set a lower user-
variable early warning threshold.
Replace the battery with a higher C-rate
type.
