1. Support the motorcycle with the stand.
2. Loosen the rear axle nut 3.
3. Loosen the lock nut 1 on the adjuster 4.
4. Move the adjuster 4 to front or rear to make the chain
slack for 20–30mm. Make the front and rear chain
wheels on a single straight line by making sure of the
left-right consistency of the sign positions 2 of the
rear wheel fork 5 and the left and right adjusters 4.
5. After adjusting the tightness of the transmission chain,
tighten the rear axle nut 3 and the lock nut 1, then
reconfirm the tightness of the transmission chain.
BWARNING
Improper installation of the replacement drive
chain or the use of a chain with a split lock ring
type is dangerous. Without a riveted drive chain,
or with a lock ring drive chain, it may loosen or
cause an accident or damage the engine. Do not
use a drive chain with a lock ring type. Replacing
the drive chain requires special tools and a high-
quality, non-opening lock-type drive chain. Have
your Haojue dealer to do this work.

NOTE: Each time when replacing the drive chain, please
check the abrasion conditions of both the front and
rear sprockets, replace sprockets at the same time if
necessary.
NOTE: After adjusting the drive chain, ensure that you
have checked the free stroke of the rear brake pedal.

BRAKES
The front wheel of motorcycle uses a hydraulic disc
brake and rear wheel uses a drum brake. Correct brake
operation is very important for safe riding. Be sure to
have the brake system checked regularly. This inspection
should be made by an authorized dealer.
Brakes are extremely important parts for safety
of both rider and passenger, so they should be
inspected and adjusted often.
