fits the sprocket (e) and the guide bar (2).
2. Turn the yellow tensioning ring (g) to the right.
This increases the tension of the chain.
Note: The saw chain has proper tension when :
- it can be lifted for about 3-4mm above the
middle of the guide bar
- and when it can be pulled around the guide bar
by gloved hand.
3. Firmly tighten the clamping knob (15).
4.5- Chain Tension Control
Control the chain tension regularly because new chains lengthen during use.
When in COLD STATE: the saw chain must adhere to lower side of the guide bar, but it must be able
to be pulled by gloved hand.
When reached OPERATING TEMPERATURE: the saw chain lengthens and it slacks.
Parts of the saw chain must not rise from the notch on the lower side of the guide bar – saw chain
could jump out. Tighten the saw chain more.
4.6- Guide bar
The guide bar (2) is subjected to important wear particularly at its tip and lower part.
To avoid one-sided wear or uneven wear of the guide bar, turn it at every chain sharpening or change.
4.7- Sprocket
The sprocket is also subjected to rapid wear.
If deep wear marks appear on the teeth, replace the drive gear sprocket.
A worn out sprocket will shorten the lifespan of the chain.
The sprocket should be changed by a specialist or authorized service centre, to avoid any hazard.
4.8- Chain guard
Upon completion of your task, place the chain guard on the chain and guide chain.
Place chain guard whenever transporting the chainsaw from one location to another.
4.9- Filling the oil tank
Clean the oil filler cap (4) and its circumference before opening it, so
as to avoid impurities getting inside the tank.
Fill in the tank.
Screw the oil tank cap (4) and wipe away any oil spills.
In order to lubricate the saw chain sufficiently, there must be enough
saw chain oil in the tank at all times. The oil level can be checked in
the viewing glass (fig.6). The oil level may not be below or above
"MIN" or "MAX".

2. Lift up the guide bar at the reversible star and
turn adjustment screw (b) clockwise until the
saw chain edges the lower part of the bar.
Note: The saw chain has proper tension when :
- it can be lifted for about 3-4 mm above the
middle of the guide bar
- and when it can be pulled around the guide bar
by gloved hand.
3. Tighten the bar retaining nuts properly
