- Do not over reach and do not cut above shoulder height. This helps prevent
unintended tip contact and enables better control of the chain saw in unexpected
situations.
- Only use replacement bars and chains specified by the manufacturer. Incorrect replacement bars
and chains may cause chain breakage and/or kickback.
- Follow the manufacturer's sharpening and maintenance instructions for the saw chain. Decreasing
the depth gauge height can lead to increased kickback.
3.5- Safety warnings regarding the use
1. Become familiar with the controls and the proper use of the tool.
2. The use of this product by children is forbidden.
Children and juveniles, except above age 16, under supervision and for educational purposes, must
not operate the chain saw, nor should persons unfamiliar with the saw or its handling (when
borrowing).
Ensure operation manual is with the saw. Persons unfit or tired must not operate the chain saw
3. Only well-instructed adults should operate the product. This product is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the product by a person responsible for their safety.
4. Use only chains with a permissible speed at least as high as the no-load speed of the tool.
5. It is recommended to use a residual current device with a tripping current of 30 mA or less.
6. Position the cord so that it will not be caught on branches and the like, during cutting.
Position the cord so that during operation, it is not tread upon, not rolled over, not in the cutting area
where saw chain could damage it.
7. It is recommended that the first-time user should, as a minimum practice, cutting logs on a
saw-horse or cradle.
8. The proper techniques for making the basic felling, limbing, and cross-cutting and examples for
the required instructions are given in Section 5.
9. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after sales service or a
person with similar qualification in order to avoid any danger.
If the power cable or extension cord is damaged or cut during operation, immediately disconnect plug
from its main power source. Do not touch the cable or extension cord before unplugging from main
power.
10. Work may create projection of sawdust debris. Wear appropriate protective equipment (face
mask, safety goggles...).
11. Do NOT use tool on other materials than wood.
12. Do NOT use tool on frozen surfaces (e.g. ice) or rocks.
13. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the tool may
contact with hidden wires or its own power cord.
Contact with a live wire can put the metal parts of the tool under load, and could result in an electric
shock to the user

Residual risks
Even when the tool is used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk factors.
The following hazards may arise in connection with the tool's construction and design:
a. Electric hazard if a defective power cord or extension cord is used.
b. Risk of serious injury if you touch the chain while in use
c. Damage to hearing if effective hearing protection is not worn.
d. Health defects resulting from vibration emission if the power tool is being used over longer
period of time or not adequately managed and properly maintained.
15. WARNING! This machine produces an electromagnetic field during operation.
This field may under some circumstances interfere with active or passive medical implants.
