Intended purpose
The JuzoFlex ankle supports provide anatomical
guidance for the affected ankle, relieving it during
movement. Medical compressive active supports have
a proprioceptive effect. They improve self-perception
and can compensate for muscle imbalances. They
alleviate pain and support the removal of fluids from
the tissue, thanks to their rheological effect.
Here is how to put on your JuzoFlex Support
correctly:
Put on your compression support while you're sitting
down to prevent injuries or falling.
1. Grasp the support on the upper edge and pull it
over your ankle.
2. The correct fit of your support is guaranteed when
it firmly surrounds the ankle without applying too
much (potentially painful) pressure on the ankles
(malleoli).
Fine adjustment of the support may be made at any
time. Caution: rough, unfiled finger nails or sharp-
edged rings etc. may damage the knitted fabric. Toe
nails and calluses can cause damage, as can the
defective inner lining of shoes.
Please note:
Only wear your support when prescribed by your
physician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by
suitably trained staff of a medical products supplier.
The effectiveness of the support can only be guaran-
teed if it is applied correctly. Although your support
is largely resistant to oils, ointments, skin moisture
and other environmental influences, the fabric as
well as worked in pressure pads can be adversely
affected by certain combinations of these factors. We
therefore recommend that it gets examined regularly
by the medical products supplier. Should the product
become damaged, please consult your specialist
supplier. Do not repair the support yourself – this
could compromise its quality and medical efficacy.
For hygienic reasons, the support is not suitable for
treating more than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label
sewn into your compression garment. Wash the
supports separately the first time (colour may run).
Your support should be washed every day or between
uses on a gentle or delicate wash cycle (30 °C). Tip: A
mesh laundry bag provides additional protection for
the knitted fabric. Please do not use fabric softener!
When hand washing, rinse well and do not wring. We
recommend the gentle Juzo Special Detergent. You
can reduce drying time by placing the supports on a
thick towel after washing, tightly rolling the towel up
and firmly pressing out excess moisture. Then hang
the support up loosely. Do not leave the product in
the towel and do not dry it on a radiator or in the sun.
Juzo supports are not suitable for dry cleaning. The
support is not suitable for tumble drying.

Storage information and shelf life
The medical retailer or doctor prescribing the support
will recommend exactly how long it should be used
for. If the product is being worn and washed every
day, its maximum usage duration will be 6 months. If
the product is used on an irregular basis, the wearing
duration will be longer, up to a maximum of 12 months.
Based on individual use, product wear may differ. We
therefore recommend that the product is checked by a
medical specialist in the event of suspected changes.
Store the product in a dry place and protect it from
sunlight. Supports have a maximum shelf life of 42
months. The usage duration of the medical product
is printed on the box with an hourglass symbol. Body
