5.6- Two-hand operation control
1. Press on Green button. Wait a few seconds until the engine reaches its operating speed and the
pressure is generated in the hydraulic pump.
2. Place log onto support table. Only cut wood along fibers.
3. Firmly hold log with log holder claws.
4. Lower the control levers to start the splitting (see Fig.13).
5. Release both handles to return the splitting wedge to the upper position.
Remarks:
- Do not release the control levers until the ram
travel cycle is completely over and the log is split.
- Releasing either lever will stop the motion of the
splitting wedge

5.7- Upon completion of work
Upon completing your work:
- Bring the ram to its lower psotion.
- Release on control lever.
- Unplug machine from power source,
- Tighten the bleed screw,
- Follow and respect the maintenance and cleaning instructions.
5.8- Tips:
When the ambient temperature is below -5°C: let the log splitter run for at least 15 minutes with no load
so that the oil can heat.
Never force the log splitter for more than 5 seconds by keeping pressure on it to split
excessively hard wood! After this time interval, the oil under pressure will be overheated and the
machine could be damaged. For such extremely hard log, rotate it by 90° to see whether it can be split
in a different direction. In any case, if you are not able to split the log, this means that its hardness
exceeds the capacity of the machine and thus that log should be discarded to protect the log splitter.
Do not attempt to split green logs.
Dry, seasoned logs split much more easily, and will not jam as frequently as green wood.
Never attempt to split logs containing nails, metals parts or any other hard piece.
Only split logs whose length is smaller than the capacity of the machine (refer to specifications).
Set and split the log in the direction of its growing grain.
Do not place the log across the log splitter for splitting. It may be dangerous and may seriously damage
the machine.
Do not attempt to split 2 pieces of logs at the same time. One of them may fly up and hit you.
Stack as you work. This will provide a safer work area, by keeping it uncluttered, and avoid the danger
of tripping, or damaging the power cord.
Accumulated split wood and wood chips can create a hazardous work environment. Never continue to
work in a cluttered work area which may cause you to slip, trip or fall.
Keep your work area clean and tidy.
