Chapter 3: Hardware Installation
Constant traffic flow of at least 10 mph.
The camera can be mounted to face the same direction as traffic.
Adequate LTE cellular coverage.
NOTE: Cameras with Performance Mode enabled can be installed at intersections, and can
capture bidirectional traffic.
3. Note the side of the road, right or left, that the mounting point is on, relative to the direction of passing
traffic.
4. Note the number of lanes being monitored, one or two.
5. Use the Measuring Tool to determine and note the distance of two lines: A and B.
Line A is the distance from the camera to the road center line. Line B is the distance from the camera
to a point on the roadside next to the estimated capture point.
NOTE: The distance from the capture point to the point on the roadside is equal to the distance
of line A.
6. Measure the height of the camera from the ground to obtain distance C.

The Pre-installation and Location Scouting have been performed
The installer is at the installation site
An Agency Manager or Site Manager account is logged in to the Mobile Companion application
