USE
Use the compressor only with the shock absorber springs it has been designed
for. If the compressor is used in any way other than the recommended one, it
shall be deemed to be misused.
If the shock absorber is not placed correctly into the pneumatic compressor, it
might result in a serious hazard, as the shock absorber might be suddenly
released.
Always inspect the shock absorber spring accurately, to make sure that no
damage has been caused by corrosion; if the spring should break while being
compressed, it might result in a hazardous situation.
If the shock absorber spring can hardly be compressed or bends irregularly, it
must be released and placed back.
Keep your fingers and hands away from both the spring coils and the moving
parts.
Do not use the product if it looks damaged or dented.
After the preliminary tests have been performed, disassemble the shock absorbers as
follows:
– unloose the clam nuts on the caps of the shock absorbers;
– mount either the fork (N) or the vice (F), depending on the suspension system
(MacPherson or equivalent) available (photo 1);
– vertically adjust the lower support (E), depending on the length of the shock
absorber (photo 2);
– adjust the jaws arms (C) by means of the control pedal (J);
– place the shock absorber, fitting the lower spring coil into the fork (N) (photo 3);
– rotate the shock absorber anticlockwise, until the spring stops at the maximum
running point (photo 4);
