INSTRUCTIONS
SECTION 2
WARNINGS

2.1 SAFETY RULES

Read this manual carefully before using the product, to prevent any accident to
the operator or damage to the compressor.
The pneumatic compressor 1550/1 is designed solely for use on the shock absorber
springs of vehicle suspension systems. The compressor must be used with great care,
because the compressed spring accumulates energy, which means a potential
hazard.
The compressor requires one operator for controlling and working procedures.
Under standard working conditions, the operator must take such a position as to be
able to make sure that the compressor runs properly and, consequently, to check both
the stroke of the cylinder and the position of the shock absorber.
Caution!
Before operating the compressor make sure that no tools or foreign bodies are
to be found on it or between any moving parts.
Always pull down the protecting structure before starting compressing the
spring.

2.2 PROTECTIVE DEVICES

The operator must wear safety shoes as well as protective glasses and gloves while
using the pneumatic compressor 1550/1.
Caution!
The pneumatic compressor 1550/1 may be used solely by trained personnel.
The protecting structure must always be pulled down before the spring is
compressed; this operation poses a potential hazard to the operator, because of
the amount of energy accumulated following compression.
NOTE BY BETA: Lock the protecting structure by fitting the relevant pin into the
holes.
The protecting structure must be locked in both the high and the low position.

2.3 WARNING LABELS

Duty symbols and personal protection
They show that suitable personal protection must be worn, because of the residual
hazard associated with any operation.
Do not remove or tamper with the warning labels attached to the compressor 1550/1.
Replace any damaged warning labels immediately.
