7. | Working with macsRemote
NOTICE
After having connected the VCI the orange function LED lights up permanently after a few seconds. This indi-
cates that the macsRemote hardware is ready for operation.
3. Connect the VCI plug of macsRemote with the LAN cable to the shop router.
NOTICE
The green LED is flashing fast now. This indicates that macsRemote tries to establish a LAN connection.
If the green function LED flashes faster, macsRemote has a LAN connection.
If the green and orange LEDs are permanently on, macsRemote is connected to the HGS server and ready
for operation.
4. After having connected the macsRemote with the vehicle, use the browser of the PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone to
call up https://macsremote.obd.help and enter the registration data.
5. Select the requested service in the menu and do the subsequent steps.
7.2. Creating a Ticket
Proceed as follows to create a ticket for the requested service:
1. Connect the VCI plug of macsRemote with the vehicle's diagnostic connector.
CAUTION!
Short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the VCI
Danger of destruction of automotive electronics
Switch off ignition before connecting the VCI to the vehicle.
NOTICE
Switch on the vehicle ignition after having connected the VCI to the vehicle. Communication is impossible
without ignition switched on.
2. Open https://macsremote.obd.help in the browser.
3. Enter your personal registration data.
4. Click to >Login< to access the ticket creation field.
5. Switch on ignition and confirm the use of the prevailing VCIs with >Select<.
6. Enter the VIN (if not transmitted by the vehicle yet) and confirm with >Ok<.
