o Always use soft cloths, never use any abrasive cleaners that could scratch the
device.
o Do not use flammable cleaning substances such as ether alcohol, etc. as this
increases the risk of fire and explosions when the device is activated again.
Cleaning the spout
o When the device is used daily the spout should be thoroughly cleaned once a week,
or less often when the device is not in regular use.
o Unscrew the spout lever and wash it in warm water with a mild cleaning agent, then
rinse with clean water. Use a small brush for bottles to clean the inside of the spout,
then pour a small amount of water through it. Replace the lever on the spout.
Descaling
CAUTION!
Failure to conduct regular descaling in accordance with these instructions
may void the warranty and result in returns being rejected!
Descale the device regularly!
Hard water may cause stone deposits to form in the water tank, lengthening the
o
time needed to heat water and possibly causing damage to the device. Use
filtered water if possible to avoid deposits forming!
o We recommend using citric acid or vinegar for ecological descaling. Prepare a
mixture of water with vinegar (proportion 3:1) or water with citric acid (2 table-
spoons per 1 liter of water) and fill the tank. Wait for one hour then boil the water.
o Wait for the device to cool. After cooling, pour out the descaling solution and rinse the
device several times with clean water. Drain the clean water through the pour spout
to remove all leftovers.
o Follow manufacturer's instructions if you choose to use a commercially available
descaling product.
After longer breaks in the device's use, clean and descale it according to the
instructions given above. Store the power cord in the base of the device. Store
the device in a well-ventilated, dry, clean place safe from frost and sunlight,
inaccessible to children.
