7 Technical description
• The battery is manufactured with Lithium (LiFePO4) technology and employing high density power (HDS) cells.
The battery is featuring an internal battery management system (BMS) to automatically regulate the charge in-
put to the battery. The BMS monitors voltage, current, resistance and temperature and uses this information to
keep the cells balanced, preventing internal imbalances in the battery by protecting it from: overvoltage, un-
dervoltage, short circuit, overtemperature and overcharging.
• The control unit provides protection for the battery by constantly monitoring charge, discharge and SOC cur-
rents and will also charge the starter battery when possible.
• The LCD display provides information, such as the charging status, the voltage of the batteries and the charg-
ing or discharging current.
