2. If you haven't already done so, place the holder station (11) on the ironing board or a
stable, level, heat and moisture-resistant base.
3. Set the iron in the holder station.
4. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
5. The device will start to heat up. The temperature control light (4) light will light up.
When it goes out, the soleplate has reached the set temperature and you can start
ironing.
Dry ironing
Take the iron off of the holder station and move the soleplate (14) back and forth across
the fabric until it is smooth. Use the device like a conventional iron.
Steam burst / vertical steam ironing
ATTENTION!
• When ironing vertically, make sure that there is enough space around the piece of
clothing you intend to iron. Vertical ironing shall only be applied if the piece of clothing
is hanging on a coat hanger and cannot come in contact with other pieces of clothing,
objects, persons or animals.
• Only iron the laundry where there is no risk of heat and moisture infl icting damage,
e.g. NOT in front of wallpaper, windows or mirrors.
5. Push the steam burst button (2), move the soleplate ahead a bit or on the fabric and
release the button.
6. Wait a few seconds before pushing the button again. NOTICE: The lower the ironing
temperature, the less steam will be produced and the longer it will take for more
steam to be produced.
7. If the water tank is empty, no more steam will be produced. Follow the instructions in
the section "Filling the water tank" to refi ll it.
After use
1. Once you are fi nished ironing, set the dial to the STANDBY position.
2. Set the device in the holder station or upright on the heel rest.
3. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
4. Let the soleplate cool off completely.

1. For steam ironing, make sure that you have selected a
setting where steam production is possible (see chapter
"Settings"). You can select any setting for dry ironing.
2. Make sure that the water tank has been fi lled and that the
anti-limescale fi lter has been prepared.
3. Heat up the device.
4. When vertically steam ironing sensitive fabrics, hold the
iron a few centimetres away from the fabric.
