ORDINARY, SCHEDULED AND EXTRA MAINTENANCE
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE:
Maintenance of the device consists simply of changing the filtering cartridges of the resin
container, which is to be carried out once a year.
CHANGING FILTERS AND RESINS:
1.
Disconnect the power connector on the front of the device. Close the water tap upstream of the
device.
2.
If the device is installed below the level of the autoclave, shut off the load on the back of the
autoclave itself to avoid emptying the tank of the autoclave and the subsequent flooding.
3.
Place the device on a flat surface and remove the lid. Use the spanner supplied (1NPUA0032) to
unscrew and also remove the PP sediment pre-filter cartridge, the GAC cartridge and the CTO
carbon-block filter cartridge (Fig. 1). Mop up the small amount of water that comes out with paper
or rags.
4.
Insert the cartridges in the containers and screw in the new filters (remove the transparent
protection (Fig. 2) and make sure you do not change their position. Screw them on tightly but do
not over-tighten (Fig. 3).
5.
Remove the safety clips from the fittings of the resin container (Fig. 4) and take out the connecting
pipes by pressing the retaining ring towards the body of the fitting and then pulling on the pipe.
6.
Remove the spent resin container and replace it with a new one, taking care to keep it the same
way round (Fig. 5).
7.
Insert the pipes in the fittings, press them home (Fig. 6) and insert the two safety clips (Fig. 7).
8.
Turn the two ball valves so that the levers are parallel to the pipes entering and leaving them (Fig.
11 & 12), i.e. in the "open" position.
9.
Open the water tap upstream of the device and let the water run for at least 1 minute.
10.
Turn the two ball valves so that the levers are at right angles to the pipes (Fig. 13 & 14), i.e. in the
"closed" position.
11.
Check that the final condition of the device resembles the one shown in Fig. 15 .
12.
Record label of the sediment filter the date of filters exchange of the device (Fig. 16 ).
13.
Check that no water is leaking out and put the device in its original position.
14.
Press and hold the button, load water manually on the control panel of the autoclave until a
beep.
Replacing the filters and resins is absolutely necessary after the signal from the
connected autoclave, or IN ANY CASE AFTER 12 MONTHS so as not to compromise the
functionality of the system and also to preserve the osmotic membrane.
