Warning notices for electrical installation
WARNING
Risk of crushing from uncontrolled start-up of the RollerDrive.
Before connecting the RollerDrive, switch off the power to the conveyor system and ensure that it cannot be
¾
unintentionally switched on again.
5.5
Electrical installation
NOTE
Risk of material damage to the RollerDrive and/or the RollerDrive cables.
¾
Never operate the RollerDrive with an alternating current (AC), as this can result in irreparable damage to
the device.
¾
Do not expose the RollerDrive connector to excessively high tensile or pressure loads. Bending the
RollerDrive cables or sliding the attachment nut on too forcefully can damage the insulation of the cables,
which can lead to the failure of the RollerDrive.
¾
Permissible bending radii: Simple bending 15 mm, multiple bending 50 mm.
UL / CSA Safety Information
• For use in NFPA 79 Applications only!
• EC5000 24V DC:
Suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering not more than 200 rms symmetrical amperes, 24 volts maximum.
EC5000 48V DC:
Suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering not more than 125 rms symmetrical amperes, 48 volts maximum.
When protected by a circuit breaker having an interrupting rating not less than 35 rms symmetrical amperes, 480
VAC volts maximum.
• Integral solid state short circuit protection does not provide branch circuit protection. Branch circuit protection
must be provided in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any additional local codes resp. with the
Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
• Internal Overload Protection Operates prior to reaching the 130% of the Motor Full Load Current.
• Motor overtemperature sensing is required.
