1. DEFINITION OF SYMBOLS

This symbol highlights those parts of the text that try to avoid mistakes when handling the boiler. The omission of these instructions may cause
material damages and, in the case of wrong handling, damage to the health.

2. GENERAL WARNINGS

The installation of a boiler must be done according to the local, national or European regulations.
Boilers by Boreal are manufactured under a quality control system in order to protect both the user and the fitter in the event of possible accidents.
We also recommend to the authorized installer that, each time an operation in the boiler is going to be done, pay special attention to the electrical
connections, especially that stripped or bear wires are never left outside the connections, avoiding dangerous contacts.
The installation must be performed by authorized personnel who must provide the buyer with a declaration of conformity of the installation where he
will assume full responsibility for the final installation and, therefore, the proper operation of the product installed. Boreal will not assume any liability
in the case of failure to comply with these precautions.
The manufacturer will not assume any liability for damages caused to third parties due to improper installation or misuse of the boiler.
In order to ensure the correct operation of the product, components can only be replaced with original spare parts and by an authorized technician.
Maintenance of the boiler must be performed at least once a year and/or when the warning message shows (whichever occurs first) by an Authorized
Technical Service engineer.
For your safety and security you should consider:
• Do not touch the boiler with bare feet or with wet body parts.
• The doors of the machine must be closed during operation.
• It is forbidden to modify the safety or regulating devices without the permission of the manufacturer.
• Avoid direct contact with any parts of the product that tend to reach high temperatures during its operation.

3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The boiler that you have purchased contains the following pieces:
• Complete structure of the boiler on the pallet.
• Inside the combustion chamber you can find: a box/bag with a thermal glove for operation of the door handle and other components.
The electrical interconnection cable between the boiler and the electrical network. A yellow leaflet with the most important warnings and
considerations. A book in order to register all maintenance tasks performed to the boiler as well as this installation, use and servicing manual.
• Inside the combustion chamber you will also find the burner and the ash pan.
The boiler consists of a set of steel plates of different thickness welded together. It is provided with door or viewer with ceramic glass (resistant up to
750°C) and ceramic rope seal to maintain the integrity of the combustion chamber.
In the boilers, due to their thermal insulation, the radiation is of low calorific value, so its performance and the power transferred to water are greatly
increased. Therefore, the warming of the environment occurs because the heat is radiated through the hydraulic circuit (radiators, panels, under-floor
heating, etc). The boiler reaches a high thermal efficiency through the use of a high surface and large water capacity heat exchanger that completely
surrounds (side, top, back and front) the combustion chamber.

4. SAFETY DEVICES

The Hydroboreal models have several safety systems that guarantee a safe and an appropriate operation and protect both the boiler and
the user. Some of them are described below. If in doubt, see the chapter 10 (alarms).
• Ignition failure
The boiler is parameterized to make one light on, in case flame is not present during the cycle, the boiler will show fail "Er12" in the display (light on
failure).
It is important to remind that, before carrying out the next ignition it is necessary to check that the burner is completely clear and clean.
Smoke extractor fan breakdown

If the extractor fan stops, the electronic card automatically blocks the fuel supply.
Breakdown of the fuel loading motor
•
If the geared motor stops, the boiler keeps on working but ceases to add fuel until the minimum working smoke temperature goes down and stops.
In the case that the geared motor rotates continuously (i.e fails in feeding state), the machine will go into an alarm state and cut the fuel supply.
Temporal Power loss or temporary failure
•
After a short power loss, the equipment will restart automatically. However in the event of a lack of electricity the boiler may give off a small amount of
smoke inside the room for a period of approximately 3-5 minutes. THIS DOES NOT ENTAIL ANY HEALTH RISK. This is a reason why Boreal advises,
whenever possible, to connect the primary air inlet pipe to the exterior of the house in order to assure that the boiler does not give off smokes fter a short
power loss.
