Food storage
The following instructions should be followed in order for the appliance to perform at its best:
Put the food into the appliance after it has reached the desired temperature displayed on the
control unit. To avoid restricting air circulation, do not put too many products in the upper part
of the refrigerated cell, and in the area near the technical compartment;
Do not place hot foods inside the appliance (they must be previously cooled in a blast chiller)
or in unclosed containers. Always package and protect foods before putting them in the refrig-
erated cell;
Avoid opening doors frequently and for extended periods of time, and wait at least 30 seconds
before re-opening the door.
Defrosting - Defrost timing (see Pic.3 - Section 8)
The control unit automatically performs defrost cycles once every 4 hours. Each cycle has a duration
of 10 minutes. The defrost water evaporation is automatic on all models. During defrosting, the
control unit display shown the abbreviation "df".
ATTENTION!
Precautions for use
To reduce cooling losses, do not open the doors too often and keep them open as little as
possible;
Do not cover the ventilation grilles of the technical compartment. The air must be able to cir-
culate to properly cool the compressor and also to evaporate the defrost water;
The food products must be placed at a sufficient distance from one another. Cooling is limited
if there is very little distance between products;
The height of the racks must be chosen based on the height of the food products;
If hot beverages are to be stored, let them completely cool down before placing them inside
the appliance. Putting hot drinks inside the appliance creates an excessive amount of steam
which can cause anomalies and malfunctions;
In the event of a power failure, if possible, do not open the door to prevent cool air from es-
caping;
Wait at least 2-3 minutes after disconnecting the plug before connecting the appliance to the
power supply line again.
6. Cleaning and servicing
6.1 Safety instructions
Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply (remove the plug
from the socket) before cleaning the appliance or starting any servicing or repair
activities;
Do not use aggressive detergent products and make sure that water does not enter the control
panel or inside the appliance's technician chamber;
To prevent electric shock, never clean the appliance with a jet of water, and never immerse the
appliance or its parts, the power supply cable or the plug in water or any other liquid.
