5 Salt concentration
We recommend a salt concentration of at least 0.4% (4000 ppm).
A salt content of 0.4% corresponds to 4 kg salt per m³ of pool water
A concentration that is too low reduces the service life of the electrolysis cell. This is
independent of the manufacturer.
6 Addition
The salt for the electrolysis system is added directly into the swimming pool and must
dissolve completely:
We recommend the addition at the inlet nozzles. The filter pump should run for at
least 24 hours. The dissolving process can be accelerated with a brush with telescopic
rod.
Calculation:
Salt content [kg/m³] x pool volume [m3] = added quantity [kg]
Example:
4 kg/m³ x pool volume 40 m³ = added quantity 160 kg salt
7 Error causes
If the system is not working properly, the following causes are possible:
• No flow in the cell (gas sensor)
• The cell is calcified (visual inspection)
• The salt content in the swimming pool is too low
• The cell is defective and/or used up
