INSTRUCTIONS WITH REGARD TO EMC
Medical electrical devices are subject to special precautions with regard to EMC and must be installed in accordance wit the
EMC instructions specified below.
Portable and mobile HF communication equipment can influence medical electrical devices.
The use of accessories, transducers or cables other than those specified can lead to increased emission or a reduced
electromagnetic immunity of the device or system.
12.3
GUIDELINES AND MANUFACTURER'S DECLARATION - ELECTROMAGNETIC EMISSIONS
TRACHEOPORT
COMPACT is intended for operation in an environment as that specified below. The customer or user of the
®
TRACHEOPORT
COMPACT device should ensure that the device is operated in such an environment.

For transmitters of which the maximum nominal power is not indicated in the table above, the recommended safety distance d in
metres (m) can be determined using the equation that belongs to the respective column, P being the maximum nominal power
of the transmitter in watt (W) as specified by the manufacturer.
NOTE 1
At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2
These guidelines may not be applicable in all cases. The propagation of electromagnetic values is influenced
by absorptions and reflections of buildings, objects and people.

Electromagnetic environment - guideline
TRACHEOPORT
COMPACT uses HF energy exclusively
®
for its internal function. Therefore, its HF emission is very low
and it is unlikely that neighbouring electronic equipment will
be disrupted.
TRACHEOPORT
COMPACT is suitable for use in all facilities,
®
including facilities in living quarters and facilities which are
directly connected to a public power supply that also supplies
buildings used for residential purposes
