INDICATIONS FOR USE

Post-operative/post-injury ROM control or immobilization.
Ligament and fracture-related surgeries and when controlled range of
motion is necessary.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

None known.

INTENDED USE

The Formfit
Post-Op Knee 24" and 28" is intended to be used for knee
®
immobilization and range of motion restriction. The brace comes in two
versions: Cool Foam and Full Foam (Figure 1).

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

WARNING: Do not use for multiple patients. Only use the device for
a single patient.
CAUTION: If you experience increased pain, swelling, sensation changes
or any adverse reactions while using this product, immediately consult
your medical professional.
Fitting by a professional required.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
DONNING THE BRACE
WARNING: Make sure to keep the leg straight when you slide the foam
pads and straps under it.
1. Unfasten the leg straps.
2. Fully pull the open ends of the straps through the double D-rings to
remove them from the left strut.
3. Remove the foam pads from the two struts.
4. Fully open the foam pads.
5. Wrap the foam calf and thigh pads tightly around the leg and fasten at
the front.
Full Foam: (Figure 3a). Cool Foam: (Figure 3b).
6. Put the struts on each side of the leg. If necessary, use bending tools
to adapt the brace to the patient's leg shape (Figure 4).
7. Attach the struts to the foam pads on each side of the leg. Align the
middle of the hinge joint with the top of the patella and the mid-line
of the knee (Figure 5).
8. Carefully slide the straps under the foam wraps.
9. Put the straps back through the double D-rings.
10. Pull and fasten the straps below the knee first; followed by the strap
above the knee. Complete the remaining straps alternating below and
above the knee until all straps are complete.
Full Foam: (Figure 6a). Cool Foam: (Figure 6b).
CAUTION: Do not tighten the straps too much. If the straps are too
tight, the blood circulation can be cut off.
