Problem
Possible cause
The mopping nozzle
lid is not closed
properly. The sound
of the appliance
decreases and the
appliance no longer
applies water to the
floor because the
mopping brushes do
not rotate and the
appliance does not
mop up anything.
The inside of the
mopping nozzle is
too dirty.
The mopping brushes
are not present.
The mopping brushes
are worn.

three reasons: (1) the
appliance picked up
a foreign object, (2)
the mopping brushes
are too wet or (3)
you have moved
the appliance over a
carpet. The mopping
brushes automatically
stopped rotating
because they
encountered too
heavy resistance. The
appliance continues
to make a sound,
but it does not work
properly.
solution
Make sure the mopping brushes and the mopping
brush cover are assembled correctly. Close the
mopping nozzle lid properly. Make sure you press
the lid until it locks with a click (see chapter 'Cleaning
and maintenance', section 'Reassembling the mopping
nozzle').
Clean the mopping nozzle (see chapter 'Cleaning and
maintenance', section 'Cleaning the mopping nozzle').
Place the mopping brushes in the mopping nozzle
(see chapter 'Cleaning and maintenance', section
'Reassembling the mopping nozzle').
Replace the mopping brushes (see chapter 'Replacing
the mopping brushes').
Release the power-on button to switch off the
appliance. Put the appliance upright in parking
position ('click') and pull the plug out of the wall
socket. Open the mopping nozzle lid, remove
the mopping brush cover and remove the object.
Reinsert the mopping brush cover, close the mopping
nozzle lid, put the plug in the wall socket and switch
on the appliance again (see chapter 'Using your
AquaTrio', section 'Active protection system is
activated'). If you find no object, the active protection
system may have been activated because the
mopping brushes are too wet (see next cause and
solution) or because you moved the appliance over
a carpet. Pull the plug out of the wall socket, open
and close the mopping nozzle lid, put the plug in the
wall socket again, switch on the appliance and start
cleaning again.
If the above solutions did not help and the appliance
still does not work, switch on the appliance for at
least 10 seconds. Then open and close the mopping
nozzle lid, switch on the appliance and start
cleaning again.
