For the functions open / close (4-button units);
1. It is recommended to choose a wireless re-
mote control that requires a 2-hand operation
to open, close or tilt the platform [see 1 in Fig.
5.5];
2. and it is recommended to use an additional
safety device on the side of the body, that
needs to be operated to execute the functions
open / close. [see Fig. 5.5]

As for exterior control boxes [See Fit-elec-general-2008-
02A], the position of such safety device should reconcile 2
opposite requirements:
1. mounted as close as possible to the rear side of the
vehicle body, so that the operator can maintain a clear
visual control over the action radius of the platform at
all times;
2. mounted as far as possible from the rear side of the
vehicle body, to protect the operator from crushing his
head or limbs between the rear frame of the body and
the lifting or closing platform (danger zone !).

Therefore mount the safety device at following compro-
mise position : at a distance (L) between the rear edge of
the body and the centre line of device between 300mm
and 500 mm. [See Fig. 5.6]
