5. WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL
•
The use of wireless remote controls is not regulated by
EN1756-1, and falls outside the scope of Dhollandia's CE
declaration of conformity. This chapter provides guidelines
of good practice for export markets outside the CE zone.
Compliance with local legislation is to be validated by the
customer.
•
All types of controls, incl. wireless remote con-
trols, should be used from a work position that
allows the operator to maintain a clear visual
control over the action radius of the platform at
all times.
•
It is not allowed to use the wireless remote con-
trols from a distance further than 3m away for
the platform, from the truck cabin, or any en-
closed area that disables the operator's view
over the action radius of the platform. [See Fig.
5.1]
•
For the functions up / down (2-button or 4-button units),
the wireless remote control should be used under the
same conditions as for wander leads with spiral cable
[See chapter 3]. Identical requirements re. safety mark-
ings, and safe working zones apply for working on the
platform [see Fig. 5.2], on the ground [see Fig. 5.3] and
inside the vehicle body [see Fig. 5.4].
