3. USE OF FAN
Attention!
All maintenance operations must be carried out after having disconnected
the power supply from the fan.
It is recommended to carry out, at least once a year, a complete
maintenance operation for the overall cleaning of the fan. To this purpose,
call your retailer or Emmeti technical assistance service.
4.1 Cleaning the remote control
• To clean the remote control, use a dry cloth. Do not use detergents or
glass-cleaning products.
4.2 Cleaning the indoor unit
• Use a cloth slightly soaked with water and alcohol at a temperature
not exceeding 40 °C.
• Dry with a soft cloth.
• Never use fuel, chemical solvents, detergent and/or abrasive powders,
furniture cleaning spray, sandpaper or rough cloths to clean the unit.
• Insecticide could damage the unit.
• Do not use inflammable spray, such as paint or hair spray near the fan.
4.3 Cleaning the filters of the indoor unit
Cleaning and/or replacement of the filters must be carried out with the
power supply to the fan switched off.
Open the inlet grille by pulling it upwards (Fig. A).
Take out the filter by pushing the central tongue upwards until it is released from
its catch, then pull the filter downwards (Fig. B).
To clean the filter, use a vacuum cleaner, or wash it with warm water.
If you have washed it, dry it in the shade.
Insert the filter into the guide, press it into the unit and pull it downwards at the
same time, until it catches (Fig. C).
Re-close the inlet grille.
Attention!
A dirty filter reduces the fan's performance.
