The initial check should be repeated for safety reasons after cycling for a few
hours. A specialist should check the settings / lubrication of the hub and ball
bearing from time to time.
As is the case for all mechanical components the bike is subject to wear and
tear. Different materials can respond in various ways to wear and use. If the
design lifespan for a component is exceeded the component may fail suddenly
and could result in injury to the cyclist. Any type of split, scratch or colour
change in highly used areas is evidence that the component's lifespan is
coming to an end and should be replaced.
The bike must be protected from road salt and should not be stored for a long
period of time in damp spaces (e.g. garages). Exchange worn or damaged parts
immediately. For safety reasons only use original spare parts.
Your PUKY specialist dealer will provide original spare parts.
Wearing points
Tyres (incl. tubes), rims and rim brakes, brake covers, gear cables, braking cables,
chain, chain rings, bearings, handle covers, dynamo illuminant.
Note! Subsequent attachments and changes to the bike (especially the brakes)
change the cycling properties and may result in dangers
Care
Cleanliness protects against rusting. All painted and chrome parts can
be cleaned and protected using commercial car cleaning materials. Only use
environmentally friendly products and not aggressive ones.
The chain must be oiled regularly (chain or universal oil) and cleaned if
necessary.
Warning. The sides of the rims must be kept free of grease!
Never use a high pressure cleaner to clean the bike!
Warranties for defects
The statutory warranties for defects apply. Damage that occurs through improper
use, the effect of force, inadequate maintenance or normal wear and tear is
excluded from the warranties on defects.
