Remove the two bolts that are arrowed in picture 9 and then the OEM licence plate hanger can be removed,
whilst taking care to feed the wiring clear.
Remove the two nuts and bolts that are arrowed in pictures 10 & 11.
With the OEM licence plate hanger removed, the wiring can be unclipped, as shown in picture 12 and then the
tail light unit removed, by removing the Phillips screws that are arrowed in picture 13
Pull the tail light clear of its mounting bracket and release the rubber shroud, before disconnecting the wiring

connector, as shown in pictures 14 & 15.
If fitting the OEM indicators, remove them from the OEM licence plate hanger by removing the nut and feed the
wiring out of the mounting hole, as shown in picture 16.
Take the R&G licence plate bracket (item 8 – TB0217 Part 1) and offer up to the top of the rear subframe and
locate the two OEM bolts previously removed through the two slotted holes in the bracket and tighten into the
threaded mount on the subframe, as shown in picture 17, before loosely tightening.
Fit the two M6 x 20mm long button head bolts (item 9) along with two M6 washers (item 3) through the two
holes at the front of the licence plate bracket and the two mounting holes on the subframe, before fitting two M6
washers (item 3) and two M6 nyloc nuts (item 7) to the exposed ends of the bolt on the underside of the rear
subframe, as shown in picture 18.
With the four bolts in place, ensure the licence plate is correctly aligned and tighten all four bolts.
Fit the heatshrink to the wiring on the R&G Tail Light (item 1 – LA0007) and fit to the licence plate bracket and
tighten the two bolts supplied with the light through the licence plate bracket and into the light unit, as shown in
picture 19.
Take the indicator of choice, either OEM or R&G Mini Indicators and mount each one to one of the indicator
mounts (item 4 - TB0217 Part 2). Feed the wiring through the large hole of either bracket and tighten the nut
onto the threaded stalk to secure in place, as shown in pictures 20, 21 & 22. If fitting the OEM indicators, fit one
of the M12 washers (item 5) onto the threaded stalk first before fitting through the hole.
Offer these up to the bike with the indicator facing rearward and fit two M6 x 6mm long button head bolts (item
6) and two M6 washers (item 3) through the indicator mount and into the threaded holes on the licence plate
bracket, as shown in picture 23. Once the licence plate is installed, these can be tightened in position. They can
be adjusted outwards to suit individual licence plate widths and indicator options.
Neatly route the wiring for the indicators and tail light up onto the top of the licence plate bracket using the cable
ties looped through the machined slots and the self-adhesive cable clips supplied.
Re-fit the section of the wiring loom that was removed with the OEM licence plate hanger and reconnect the
connector to the main loom on the left side of the bike.
Take the tail light connector (item 14 – CON0052) and connect the wiring as follows. Connect OEM green to
LA0007 green, OEM brown to LA0007 yellow and OEM yellow/green to LA0007 blue. Then connect the large
connector to the one on the bike before checking for the correct operation of all lights, as shown in picture 15.
If fitting the OEM indicators, reconnect the wiring as standard.
If fitting R&G Aero Indicators with LED's, the yellow wire on the Aero Indicators connects with the blue or
orange wire on the OEM loom and the black wire on the Aero Indicators connects with the green wire on the
loom. No resistors are required.
If fitting R&G Mini Indicators with bulbs, the black/white wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the green
wire on the OEM loom and the black wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the blue or orange wire on the
loom. No resistors are required.
If fitting R&G Mini Indicators with LED's, the black/white wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the blue or
orange wire on the OEM loom and the black wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the green wire on the
loom. No resistors are required.
Check for the correct operation of all lights at this stage. If illumination fails, swap the bullet connections
around.
Tuck the wiring neatly to one side using cable ties/cable clips.
