f) Suction head too high :
8.3 THE PUMP RUNS
a) The internal units are obstructed by
BUT THERE IS NO
foreign bodies :
FLOW.
b) Suction piping obstructed :
c) Intake of air via suction piping :
d) The pump is out of water :
e) The suction pressure is too low; this is gene-
rally accompanied by cavitation noise :
f) The pump turns the wrong way
(three-phase motor) :
g) The motor is supplied at too low
a voltage :
h) The discharge valve is closed :
8.4 THE PUMP FAILS TO
a) Discharge valve is partially open :
DELIVER SUFFI-
b) Loss of head highly :
CIENT PRESSURE.
c) Suction piping is partially obstructed :
d) The motor doesn't rotate at its nominal
speed (foreign bodies, wrong power sup-
ply, motor axial adjustment disturbed) :
8.5 THE FLOW IS IRRE-
a) The suction height (HA) is too great :
GULAR.
b) The suction piping is of a smaller dia-
meter than the pump :
c) The strainer and suction piping are
partially obstructed :
8.6 THE PUMP
a) Poorly secured on its frame :
VIBRATES.
b) Foreign bodies obstructing the pump :
8.7 UNUSUAL MOTOR
a) Foreign bodies obstructing the pump :
OVERHEAT.
b) Wrong power supply :
8.8 THE MOTOR TRIPS
a) Ambient temperature too high :
OUT.
b) The rating of the thermal relay is too
low (three-phase motor) :
c) The voltage is too low :
d) One phase is open-circuit :
e) The thermal relay of the circuit brea-
ker is faulty :
CAUSE
a) Check the current on the motor terminal.
b) Dismante and replace the motor parts damaged.
a) Immersed the strainer (mini 20 cm).
b) Fill the pump.
c) Check the tightness of suction pipe and links.
d) Clean the valve.
e) Clean the strainer.
f) Check suction head (max. 8 m) and modify the installation.
a) Have the pump removed and cleaned.
b) Clean all the piping.
c) Check the tightness of the whole pipe up to the pump and seal it.
d) Reprime. Check the tightness of the foot valve.
e) Excessive losses of head in suction, or suction height too great.
f) Interchange two phase wires on the motor or circuit breaker terminal
block to reverse the direction of rotation.
g) Check the voltage on the motor terminals and the sections of the
conductors.
h) Check an open it.
a) Open it progressively and completely up to a stable pressure.
b) Check the loss of head.
c) Check the piping. Clean it.
d) Have the pump removed and the anomaly corrected.
a) Review the installation conditions described in this manual.
b) Review the installation conditions described in this manual.
c) Remove and clean.
a) Check and completely tighten the nuts of bolts and studs.
b) Have the pump removed and cleaned.
a)Have the pump removed and cleaned.
b) Check voltage at connection is within tolerences normalised.
a) Air circulation around the group. Protect the group is installed directly
exposed to the sun. The motor is designed to operate at an ambient tem-
perature of up to + 35°C.
b) Check the current using an ammeter, or set to the current marked on the
motor data plate.
c) Check the section of the conductors of the power cord.
d) Check it and replace the power cord if necessary.
