8 . OPERATING TROUBLE

Make sure that the pump is OFF before doing any work on it.
OPERATING TROUBLE
8.1 THE PUMP FAILS TO START
8.2 THE PUMP OPERATE BUT
NOT DELIVERY
8.3.THE PUMP NOT RUN
PROBABLE CAUSES
a) No current:
b) Winding or cable open-circuit:
c) Rotor stalled (the motor "growls"):
d) Impeller obstructed by foreign
bodies:
a) The pump sucks in air:
b) The strainer is not immersed:
c) The pump is empty:
d) The suction pipe is obstructed:
e) The discharge pipe
obstructed:
a) Faulty electrical installation:
b) Impeller is blocked:
c) Thermal sensor release:
a) Check the line. If necessary, replace the fuses.
Close the circuit-breaker or the switch on the control box.
b) Check the resistances between the cable ends; if necessary, replace
the cable (caution: when this is done, make sure all connections are
right.
To replace the cable, use only a original cable.
c) Clean the hydraulics (casing + impeller).
Dismantle the motor part if necessary.
d) Dismantle and clean.
a) Check the water level.
b) Immerse the strainer. Ballast the flexible pipe if necessary.
c) Fill the pump in, to prime it again.
d) Check and clean line.

a) Check the whole electrical installation.
b) Clean the pump.
c) .Let cool the motor.
