pump. Limit the horizontal length of the suction piping and avoid all
causes of losses of head (necking, bends, etc.).
No air leak can be allowed in this suction piping.
With rigid piping, use supports or collars to avoid having the pump
bear the weight of the piping.
Distribution
By Ø 1" (26/34) threaded piping connected to the brass coupling on
the pump outlet.

5.4 Electrical connections

The electrical connections and checks must be done by a
qualified electrician in accordance with the standards in
force.
Power supply network
Single-phase 230 V : connect using the cord with plug
(see Fig. 1, item 6).
Three-phase 400 V : remove the cover of the pressure contactor (see
Fig. 3b, item 3) and connect a 4-conductor cable (3 phases + earth)
to terminals R.S.T. (see Fig. 3a).
Check the current set on the thermal relay (see Fig. 3b, item 4) and
compare it to what is marked on the data plate on the pump. If
necessary, readjust by turning the thumbwheel (see Fig. 3b, item 4).
DO NOT FORGET TO CONNECT THE EARTHING LEAD
(green-and-yellow conductor).
An electrical connection error would damage the motor. The
cord must never touch the piping or the pump, and must be
kept away from all moisture.
6. STARTING UP
CAUTION !
Never run the module dry, even briefly.
6.1 Pressurization of tank
Check the tank pressure and correct if necessary by pressurizing via
the tank valve (see Fig. 1, item 9).
The pressure must be 0.3 bar less than the pump starting pressure.
(adjustment made at factory : 1,5 bar)

6.2 Filling, degassing
Pump under pressure
- Close the discharge valve (item 12).
- Unscrew and remove the filling plug (item 2).
- Gradually open the suction valve (item 11) and proceed to fill the
pump completely via the filling port.
- Screw the filling plug back in only after water has flowed out and all
air has been eliminated.
Pump in suction
With Self-priming pumps JETSON / SPRINGSON (max. 8 m).
Only one filling is enough for priming the pump
- Open the discharge valve (item 12).
- Open the suction valve (item 11).
- Unscrew and remove the filling plug (item 2).
- Using a funnel inserted in the port, fill the pump slowly and
completely.
- After water flows out and all air has been eliminated, filling is
complete.
- Screw the plugs back in.
With not Self-priming pumps MULTI-H / HYDROSON (max. 7 m).
Nota : At 7 m of suction height is , the pump is priming in 30 s approxi-
mately.
- Start the motor by pressing briefly, wait for 20' to let air going up insi-
de pump housing.
- Unscrew once again the plug (item 2) and, if a water flow doesn't
appear, remove plug and complete the water level inside the
pump.
- Close the plug and start again.
- If necessary, repeat this operation.
6.3 Adjustments
Check of direction of rotation (three-phase motor only).
- Power up the motor (briefly press the On button on the contactor)
and check that it in fact turns in the direction indicated by the
arrow.
If it turns the wrong way, interchange two wires on the motor termi-
nal block.
Adjustment of pressure contactor
Nota : the adjustment is made at factory. But it's possible to change
it (see the manufactory's instructions herewith).
7. MAINTENANCE
- The motor bearings are lubricated for life.
- The mechanical packing needs no maintenance in the course of
operation.
- In frosty weather and for prolonged stoppages of the pump, it must-
be drained by unscrewing the bottom plug.
Fill the pump before using again.
Do not let the pump run more than a few minutes
CAUTION !
with the discharge valve closed.
